The Schubertiade Salon series programmes incorporate poetry, music, and visual arts; an imaginative interdisciplinary dialogue in the spirit of the 19th century Schubertiade gatherings, surrounded by the enchanting exhibition space of the Camaro Haus.

This programme brings together two pieces on love and death: Schubert’s short and visionary melodrama Abschied von der Erde, and Richard Strauss’s epic melodrama Enoch Arden, based on Alfred Tennyson’s narrative poem.
Both melodramas were performed in German.
Beide Melodramen wurden in deutscher Sprache aufgeführt.

We are delighted to invite you to the launch of our new Schubertiade Series on 19 June 2025 at 20:00 in collaboration between Responses Culture Society e.V. and the Alexander und Renata Camaro Stiftung. All proceedings from this evening will support the series which will unfold throughout the autumn and winter months. The programme will incoporate poetry, music, and dance; an imaginitive interdiciplinary dialogue in the spirit of the 19th century Schubertiade gatherings, surrounded by the enchanting exhibition space of the Camaro Haus. We invite you to explore Schubert's timeless compositions alongside works that create meaningful dialogue and context.
